Over the years I’ve had so many former athletes say,
“I wish I would have known these things when I was playing. This would have made a huge difference in my game.”
When you work with me, you don’t have to look back on your athletic playing career and say I wish I would have. You’re going to say ”I’m so glad I did.”
Ken, I just want to thank you for all of your help over the past few months. Before I began working with you I was really nervous and discouraged. You have not only helped me improve my dancing, but my overall confidence and my view towards myself as well. Your training has helped me in my schoolwork, dance and in other areas also. Thanks again, Kristen M
Thank you so much for all you did for Abigail! She had her best year in high school sports with softball, state appearances and a championship year! She will be competing in college next season and we are thrilled for her! Gratefully, Kelly, Softball mom.
We can’t thank you enough for all of your help with Matt this season. I think you gave him valuable tools and an understanding and language to communicate better with his coaches. We’ve seen huge growth in him and true mental toughness! Jen S.
Ken: I personally wanted to thank you for your knowledge and passion in helping Katie. You helped her turn her season around from what we thought would be a total loss to a wonderful success! She went from not being able to take off the runway, to placing first in many of the region’s competitions! But beyond the success she has had, you have given her skills that she will use throughout her life. She has amazing confidence and mental toughness! I’m very proud of her and the wonderful person she is. Gratefully, Mary Ann
Good morning, Ken! I wanted to send a quick email to thank you for an amazing first session with my dancers. They all loved it and can’t wait for you to come back!
Amazingly enough, the little girl (Katy) who had a breakthrough and cried during the session… won 1st place overall with a perfect score yesterday at a competition. She’s never received 1st in the champion level. She told her mom that what you said finally clicked in her head and she never felt better going into a competition.
Hi Ken! Just wanted to shoot over a quick email to let you know that once again, your workshops with my dancers are helping in so many ways. Since the last time we’ve seen you, two of our dancers, Coleen and Kelly, have both won their third 1st place moving them up to the highest level in Irish dance… open championship.
Maura- who has been super quiet and reserved her whole life, won a 3rd in prelim championship and 9th overall which is amazing.
Finally, we have Nicole. Nicole is the girl who inspired me to contact you in the first place. She’s a beautiful dancer, but had a habit of overthinking and choking on stage. At the last feis she won 1st place in one of her dancers and a judge placed her 1st overall – total outcome was 4th overall. We all cried of happiness.
These are just a few examples – but I wanted to thank you again! Looking forward to tomorrow!
I’ve had the opportunity to work together with a significant number of different coaches and Ken’s approach just works. There are no gimmicks, no over-the-top techniques, just simple, straight-forward, tested skills that get results. Since getting involved with our team a year ago, he has become a significant asset. While we’ve certainly had a decent amount of success, the difference I’ve noticed in the past year is a team that is more confident, in control, and relaxed. In the toughest of situations, our guys have consistently performed at or above expectations, and I am certain that is a direct result of Ken’s involvement. John P, Head Coach
Ken conducted a six-week series of Mental Game workshops at our training facility. He helped us establish our goals and in each session reviewed one aspect of what might be holding us back and what we could do to overcome it and improve our game, e.g., pre-shot routine, focus, forward thinking, visualizing, relaxation, removing the “monkey”, and many others. The techniques he taught us have been so helpful to me and the team. Coach Nelson
When I first met with Ken I was experiencing a shooting slump and I wasn’t sure how exactly to approach it from a mental standpoint. We talked through how to keep confidence regardless of whether or not shots were failing and worked on different techniques in order to make sure that the mental side of the game wasn’t taking away from performance. In addition to working on mindset in games, Ken worked with me on mentally visualizing success in different scenarios and helped me build confidence to feel better prepared for game time situations. Ken helped me also begin to train the mental side of my game by encouraging a conscious reflection about how I mentally approached different situations in a game. After working with Ken I’ve been able to take a confident mental approach to how I perform as an athlete.
